Kind of overcast, although warm. Feels like something could be brewing. Strange to have my free Tuesday following a three-day weekend when we didn't really do a lot except for Madison on Saturday. We got our Schmeeckle walk in early, about 9:30 am on Monday to beat the heat, then had a fairly relaxing day at home to follow. Partly sunny, warm, supposed to hit 90° today. Must be Memorial Day. The LeGaults are indeed gathering on the Oregon coast (without us). We just can't justify spending all the money for airfare in addition to a share of the gathering costs for just one long weekend. And truthfully, I don't miss the party atmosphere of the large gathering. Perhaps we'll just go hiking somewhere if the weather isn't too uncomfortable. Lovely mild, windless morning to walk to the Farmer's Market. David and Susan were working the pastry booth, so I was able to tell him to let Greta know about volume discounts when she returns from her trip. Decided not to go to gym today since I was so tired yesterday and Covid is up again in the county. I'll stay home and do laundry and maybe do that Jessica Smith strength video again to be good. Going to Madison tomorrow after Farmer's Market and breakfast to do Costco/TJs run. Another chilly morning, partly cloudy. The warmer, windows-open, weather we enjoyed for a short time has been gone for quite a while already. Sunshine but very chilly temps this morning - only 44° when I came downstairs. Bob put the fireplace on this morning. I've put it on in the evenings the last two nights as well. Sunshine is back today. We had some sun and pleasant temps for the wildflower hike at Ice Age Trail yesterday. It was a guided hike, led by Gail Piotrowski, and there was a Point woman, Ruth Somers, who was also very knowledgeable about wildflowers, so we were able to see a lot of flowers we wouldn't have otherwise recognized. Grey and cloudy today, 48° this morning. Had a lovely, sunny hike at Rib yesterday evening. Lovely, sunny, and 55° at 6:42 am. I believe it might get into the 60s or low 70s today and for most of the rest of the week. Should be very pleasant after our first taste of hot summer weather. Temp is more moderate today, and it says the humidity is only 48% but it feels much more humid to me. Walked downtown to the first summer Farmer's Market of the season (for us), but no David today. At least we still have quite a bit of the Costco cinnamon loaf left, and we picked up some rhubarb muffins and bread from the nice older couple at the corner stall. I also got basil, thyme, and flat leaf parsley from them, and the rosemary I got several weeks ago at Bootstrap is hale and hearty, so we're not going to go down to Madison Farmer's market for plants today.
