Thurs 31 Jul

A blessedly cooler night for sleeping! Even was able to bring on full covers the last hour before morning. Felt very refreshing, albeit hard to get out of bed. Tomorrow is the last 5:30 out of bed day, with Saturday the last day of ASI work to close the store. Next week, my time is more my own again! Food: 6:40 am 107 g Costco cinnamon pound cake, 102 g blackberries, coffee

Wed 30 Jul

Happy Birthday, Momma! 107 years ago today you came into the world. You are still loved and remembered. Got a muscle pain in my upper back/lower shoulder last night that made sleep difficult towards morning. Finally remembered the Deep Muscle oil and it did help somewhat as I had been unable to find a position to lay that didn't hurt. Used more oil after my shower, and it's subsiding but still there. Must have twisted funny in my sleep. Food: 6:30 am 108 g Costco butter cinnamon loaf, 103 g blackberries, coffee

Tues 29 Jul

Delighted that my Fostering Success meeting has been postponed so that for the next two days, I don't have any other commitments beyond work at ASI. Perhaps I can recover a bit from feeling exhausted. Too many commitments every day were overwhelming. Food: 6:40 am 84 g Costco cinnamon butter loaf, 105 g blackberries, coffee

Fri 25 Jul

I get to sleep in til normal waking time two days in a row over the weekend! Yay! Getting up at 5:30 hasn't been as bad as I had anticipated, but I look forward to normal sleep for a couple of days, even though the days are still busy. Store was very quiet yesterday. Today may be a bit busier with people coming in for last-minute purchases and to pick up sweatshirts they ordered. After work today, nothing scheduled, just need to do laundry and I get to try out my new fancy silver-infused sheets. Food: 6:35 am 114 g cinnamon coffee cake, 101 g blackberries, coffee

Thurs 24 Jul

It's amazing how much longer a week seems when you're working and busy every day. Can't believe it's just Thursday today. Work this morning, Bootstrap this afternoon. Have to stay up a little later to wait for Gary and Judy to drop off the OBT materials after LevittAmp. Sent her a text to remind her. Off to see the wizard today - starting my full-week morning shifts at ASI. Didn't sleep as soundly as I felt like I was waiting all night for my early alarm at 5:30, but not horribly restless. Busy week, with also something almost every afternoon or evening. Here we go! Food: 6:30 am Black currant paczki, 102 g blackberries, coffee

Cantor at 10:30 today, a less-than-usual occurrence. Went to Wheel House for pizza and beer last night - enjoyable as always. Tomorrow starts a week of getting up at 5:30 for work every day. Oh, my! Food: 7:55 am 106 g poppy seed roll, 102 g blackberries, coffee

Wed 16 Jul

Another hot day yesterday, supposed to be slightly less so today. Got a much-needed haircut yesterday, today I have my last massage with Marisha. Her daughter, Katy has agreed to take me on as a client, so I have already scheduled with her for next month. Working on my Laurie R King book so I can return it at more than two weeks overdue; I'm about halfway through as I really had almost no time to read on Monday. Hoping for more significant progress today. Food: 8:05 am 97 g poppy seed roll, 101 g blackberries, coffee

15 July 2025

Tues 15 Jul

Hard to get used to hot, summer weather again, but here it is. Yesterday was a very busy day and I was totally exhausted at bedtime. Today is less crazy with just a hair appointment on the schedule, so I hope to get the laundry done from vacation. Still working on reading the Laurie R. King book so I can return it to the library since it's probably at least two weeks overdue and not eligible for renewal. Food: 7:55 am 133 g poppy seed roll, 102 g blackberries, coffee

14 July 2025

Mon 14 Jul

Home again, home again, riggety jig! Feels good to be back after a long sojourn. Felt a little longer than Spain, even though it's about the same length of time, because we kept picking up and moving to different places on a regular basis. Four days in Iceland was our longest time in one place. No major problems on the vacation, reasonable weather, and lots of enjoyment. Left my phone on the check-in counter at the airport on the return trip, but was able to retrieve it fairly soon. All our luggage came through. Bob had a cold initially that he thought was allergies at first, but it wasn't too debilitating. Expecting a call from Social Security at 9:45 this morning to apply for my benefits. Food: 8:00 am 145 g paczki, 105 g blackberries, coffee
