Bob has an MRI scheduled in Marshfield today for his prostate, so I am going to go with him for moral support. Otherwise I have a free day, so it seemed like the thing to do.

Need to start actively trying to lose some weight again as it has been creeping up. I do remember that it's often inflated right after travel, but it was up too high before we left as well.
Wonderful week at the North Shore with some of the best weather we've ever had there. There were several very foggy days in Grand Marais and along the lake, but if we drove away from the shore even a little, it cleared and was warm and sunny. Came down with a cold as soon as I arrived, but miraculously it only lasted a couple of days and didn't really impede much. First day we just walked into Grand Marais and did the shops, but after that we got nice hikes in every day. Color was good, quite full, but not spectacular.

Heading up to the North Shore this morning by way of St Paul so we can stop at Trader Joe's to take advantage of their pumpkin products. Won't get down to Madison until some time in October, and pumpkin wasn't much available in August when we were last there. Axel came up yesterday in his fancy 1995 Mazda Miata. Had a really nice visit with him and we all walked downtown to Dozynki. Not much going on outside, but we had lunch at Graffiti's with Kielbasa, sauerkraut (but not for me), pierogi, and a breadstick. It was quite delicious. Axel had trouble starting his car and he and Bob had quite a time getting the battery charged up so he could drive home. Michael and Taylor stopped over later with banana chocolate chip muffins. Drove to church as it was raining.

Axel is coming today from 10-1 as he now has an afternoon commitment in Madison. Probably good to have a defined time frame. We'll all walk downtown to check out Dozynki and hopefully find something fun for lunch. Bob and I will do church this evening so we can be ready and raring to go by hopefully around 7 am since we plan to drive by route of St Paul to stop at Trader Joe's on the way up for pumpkin spice and other fall goodies. It adds about an hour to the drive, so an early start is most desirable.

I will be glad when the nights are no longer too warm to sleep comfortably. I don't want it to be so cold that our neighbors without shelter are too cold, but when it's this warm in the bedroom at night, I wake frequently and have a hard time getting back to sleep.
