Off to an 8 am shift today, and tomorrow as well. Other days vary from afternoon shifts to later morning times. Today should just be selling as hopefully all items are out and appropriately priced. I was able to pull up the finalized schedule on Leo's laptop and take a picture with my phone, so I believe I have the accurate hours now. I will stop bugging all and sundry to send me the schedule and just accept that this is a fairly unprofessional year. Food: 6:25 am 60 g raspberry kringle, 103 g blackberries, Dolce Gusto coffee

Sun 19 Jul

First day of Institute today. Hopefully Grazzia and Leo got the store whipped into shape last night as it wasn't public-ready when I left at 3:30 pm. Yesterday was a little frustrating as Grazzia had to play for a wedding in Green Bay and was only there briefly to talk with Leo. Caleb spent most of his time playing with the cash register like it was a vintage video game. Leo was not particularly directive, nor active in setting things up. I was still a bit miffed that they didn't tell me they weren't starting til 10, so I sat in the lobby for an hour (for which I don't imagine I can bill). Today I am a working girl again, for about two weeks. Long shift today from 9-3:30, afternoon shift tomorrow, and every day next week. Smoke looks a little less orange today, hopefully dissipating by noon but I'm not holding my breath. (Or rather, I am!) I seriously crave a breath of fresh air. Laura was up yesterday for James' concert, and she said the air quality was even worse in Madison. Her new office building has an a/c system that only uses outside air, so she got an email that the building had a haze inside as well. She was glad she came up and worked at the SentryWorld library lounge where she had quiet and a pretty atmosphere. Concert was great, and it was fun to see James again. Learned that he has been living in Arizona again since covid. A reminder of how far apart we have come that I had no idea he had moved from Pennsylvania. Last Spanish gathering at Pia's today before she moves to Maryland next week. OBT committee meeting after. Supposed to be in the 90s all week - oh, joy! When I was a kid, I would have loved it, but now not so much. I am actually okay with a/c staying on continuously. Food: 7:55 am 117 g blueberry cheese croissant, 102 g blackberries, coffee, goat milk powder
