Heading up to the North Shore today for a spring week. Did about 8.3 miles of the half marathon yesterday before bailing and calling for the sag wagon.

Walk Wisconsin today! Going to be quite warm for the walk, most likely, though it's a comfortable 48° right now. Had a small storm last night that brought the temperature down a bit.

Getting to feel a bit warm and summery, enough so that I won't mind being cool in Grand Marais next week. Might be quite warm for Walk Wisconsin tomorrow, but it doesn't usually get too warm until later in the afternoon, and hopefully we'll be nearly done by then.

Nice anniversary celebration dinner last night with Michael and Taylor. Taylor made a delicious apple galette for dessert; I'm having a leftover piece for breakfast. The expensive Clio wine was good, but not substantially better than their ganache or other good wines that are much more reasonable. Nice to have tried it, wouldn't buy it again.

Cantoring yesterday was traumatic. The accompanist had her dates mixed up and didn't show, so I recruited Pat D'Ercole to sing a cappella with me. Kat Lindow came to the rescue just before offertory thanks to a text from her husband who was there with the kids. She had played at 8 am so knew what we were doing. I had post-trauma shakiness for much of the day until we took a nice long walk on the Green Circle segment by the disc golf course. Nature helps calm me down.
