Fri 11 Jul

Wow, it was so cool in Ashland we had to break down and go to Wallyworld so I could buy a long-sleeve top because I foolishly didn't pack anything but short sleeves and I was freezing. I normally pack a sweater for conferences automatically, but I guess I was tired on Wed night when I packed and wasn't thinking. Temps were in 60s-low 70s and very breezy. Beautiful, though.

Conference was very good. Dr. Ron Diamond teaches at UW-Madison as well as practicing in the area and is excellent! Wish we had many more psychiatrists like him. Dad and Michael took a paddleboat out on Lake Superior and played Scrabble in the lobby til I picked them up. We had lunch at the South Shore Brewery and took our time heading home, still getting here before 6:30 pm.

Had a nice long chat with James. Jonathan is off managing a motel in South Dakota, at least temporarily. James has a new renter/roommate for now, David. He finished getting the house sided and painted. He's still at St. Francis Xavier in Phoenix.
