We are now able to arrange via email to pick up fresh pastries from Bakery on the Lake, our favorite Scotch baker on Lake Emily, on Saturday mornings en route to markets in Rapids and Wausau. We rendezvous at the Target parking lot. This morning, he was making gibassier (my favorites!) but he called to say he must have forgotten the yeast because they did not rise and were little inedible bullets. I "settled" for chocolate croissants, Dresden slices, and chocolate/raspberry and pumpkin muffins to be eaten over the course of the short week before we go to Minneapolis.
