Well, I should get my interview for the new job next week Tues or Wed. Yesterday we had a union meeting talking about the transition to the new CCCW and it does sound like benefits wouldn't be quite as uncertain as I fear, so I'm not sure which direction to go. My druthers would be to keep my current job and transition to CCCW because I like what I do, but I just wish I knew that I wouldn't lose my vacation, sick leave, seniority, etc. I'd prefer to retire from my current caseload in 5-10 years than a whole new group. Any thoughts?
Thank you for your thoughts. My interview has actually been scheduled for tomorrow at 9 am, so wish me luck. I plan to do the best interview I can, and I agree that I need to get the best info available on what will happen with benefits either way. Good thought that the # of years post-retirement are likely significantly less than working years remaining.
Okay, I'll bite, how does oatmeal made with green tea taste? Can't even begin to imagine...
