We have our Christmas lunch potluck at work today, so I figured I'd better do a more vigorous exercise this morning to prepare for the potential of eating things not exactly on the plan. Kickboxing always seems very vigorous to me and today was no exception.
Made a ramen salad for the lunch today. Reminds me of summer.
Christmas lunch was yummy - difficult to log as there were small portions of dressing, salads, cranberries, potatoes, small broasted chicken thigh. I dished up a heaping small plate of desserts, took a few bites and was sweeted out so most of it went into the garbage. Better than onto my hips. I didn't win in the basket raffle, but I won a door prize of $15 which paid for the raffle tickets I had bought so I broke even.
Nice surprise tonight - went out to eat with Dad and Michael to Fazoli's. Don't get to spend time with MIchael very often so I enjoy the occasional opportunity.
Just made reservations for tomorrow night for Dad and I at St. Brendan's Inn in Green Bay. We will try to take off by 3 pm and drive to Green Bay, head to the nearby winery after check-in for a wine tasting if we can, have a nice dinner. Saturday I want to check out the local chocolate store that's been in business for 50 years or so and then do some shopping in Appleton on the way home. We're getting the Romance package at the Inn for $99.50 plus tax which includes the room with a whirlpool tub, breakfast for two, a box of chocolates and a bottle of champagne. Not a bad deal. And a nice way to spend a Friday night (and Saturday).
