Very nice hike on the Ice Age Trail yesterday in spite of snow on the ground. If we hadn't had difficulty finding the trailhead so that the falling snow/rain had stopped when we got there, I don't think I would have convinced Bob to do the hike, but as it was, it was just a bit chilly at first. Poles helped with any slight slipperiness on inclines and it was a great hike. The volunteer at the checkpoint/turnaround was Gail Piotrowski, someone we hadn't seen for many years. She was very enthusiastic about the trail and invited us to join the volunteer group when our schedules allow. Food: 7:55 am Pumpkin coffee cake, 102 g blackberries, coffee 12:35 pm 3 pumpkin pancakes w/butter & syrup, 3 slices Nueske's bacon
