Had a lovely week in Door County last week. Good weather from Friday arrival until the Thursday before we left. Got hiking in every day, even the Thursday in the morning after breakfast for a short hike at Ellison Bay. Got beaucoup apples of several varieties - now we need to be sure to eat them. Found a couple of new breakfast places - at the Ephraim Shores resort and Pelletiers (when the wait at White Gull was oppressive!). Got very lucky getting seated on several occasions, at Chef's Hat, Julie's, and Bayside Tavern. Hiked Newport, Peninsula, Door Bluff Headlands, Ellison Bay, Whitefish Dunes, Mink River Estuary. Today is Empty Bowls. Cantoring was switched to Sunday, so Bob and I will do the same Mass as he has to usher. I need to get to the library today to pick up several books on hold.
