Thurs 2 Feb

Groundhog Day, that day when the foolishly hopeful dare to believe winter might soon be over. In Wisconsin, we consider ourselves lucky if there are only six more weeks of winter. Should be quite chilly walking with Kathy again this morning. Seems some of the coldest mornings come on Thursdays for some reason. Fortunately, we have plenty of good winter gear to keep relatively warm. And it inspires us to walk briskly. Kathy didn't dress quite warmly enough so we had to cut our walk a little shorter this week. I was fine in my fleece-lined leggings and snow pants and ultra-warm parka and mittens, but she was chilling in Cuddl-duds and jeans. Not a problem. Food: 7:15 am Pig's ear, 100 g blackberries, coffee 12:20 pm Moroccan bean stew 3:00 pm Wine gums 5:55 pm Tilapia filet, 1/2 c baked butternut squash, 1/2 c grain blend Exercise: 8:00-8:55 am Walk w/Kathy in cold temps
