Wow, L'Etoile and your whole evening sounds wonderful. My mouth is watering just reading the descriptions of the wonderful food!
I have my second day of training in Adams Co today. It's an unusual conference in that they provide home-cooked food instead of the usual conference fare. Yesterday their "continental" breakfast was 2 kinds of breakfast quiche (cut in huge slabs), bacon, blueberry french toast sticks, blueberry coffee cake, some kind of red cake, cantaloupe, watermelon, juice, coffee, and probably some other things I didn't notice. I had already had breakfast so I limited myself to some cantaloupe and watermelon, and broke down to eat half a piece of coffee cake at break. For lunch they had sliced roast pork, kaiser buns, homemade potato salad, homemade baked beans, more fruit, and peanut marshmallow bars. It will be interesting to see what they do today.
Not as unique on the food today: little strudels for breakfast w/fruit salad, juice & coffee. Lunch was pizza.
