Camp today - hope it goes well. Things have been so busy lately at work that taking a full day out of the office for camp seems frivolous, but perhaps staff needs it as much as consumers. It's supposed to be nice and warm so maybe it will be a good day for hikes on the trails. At any rate, it's better than keeping an eye on the news to see how successful Walker is at demoralizing/demonizing all public workers. Amy said that if it passes, we will likely see salary cuts of 5% on April 1.
I'm finding my stomach in constant tension thinking about the proposal to de-unionize public workers. We need Pete Seeger to come to the rally on the Capitol and bring back his union songs. If I didn't have camp today, I'd be sorely tempted to call in sick and join the rally.
Driving to and from camp in thick fog was truly nasty. The day at camp was fine and really quite relaxing. Yay to the dems for coming up with a way to prolong the saga and give more opportunity for national attention to the evil repubs. Considered taking off tomorrow to join you (and the other thousands), but I think driving home tonight took the heart out of me for more driving.
