Nice relaxing Saturday. I'm on call so we can't go anywhere out of town, so we'll get some things done here. I want to walk to the Farmer's Market as soon as I hang the sheets on the line, put in the next load, and shower. We will walk over to PCH later to visit Grandma. I need to go through the mail and pay bills. Otherwise, low key day.
Grandma seemed to appreciate the visit. We took her out on an unused patio and they had a two-sided glider swing with a bench on one side and a ramp to bring the wheelchair up and lock it down on the other side so we enjoyed a civilized swing in the sunshine.
Very nice dinner at Father Fats, the newest small plates evening spot on Clark St. We had a lovely walk with the evening sun on the beautiful trees, followed by a fun meal.
Food:
8:30 am Laura's oatmeal (1/3 c old-fashioned oats, cinnamon, 1 tbl flaxseed meal, 1/3+c blueberries, 1 scoop TJ protein powder, 2 oz light original soy milk), 1/4 large cantaloupe, coffee
10:00 am 73 g cherry strudel
11:30 am Smoothie (w/1/2 c grapes, 7 med strawberries, 1/2 lg banana, 1/2 pkt vanilla soy shake, 1/2 Oikos plain Greek yogurt, fresh mint), 1 lg slice cranberry oat toast, 1 tsp soft margarine, 1/2 apricot kuchen
7:00 pm Bourbon cocktail, baked chevre with toasted rounds, crepe w/asparagus and parmesan sauce, 3 black angus medallions, 1 tbl truffled mashed potatoes, asparagus salad, small piece redfish, 1 1/2 potato parmesan pancakes, 2 1/2 large slices carrot, 1/4 c cranberry sorbet, smear pumpkin ganache, bit of granola

2:45-3:05 pm Walk home
