Fri 22 Apr

My firstborn is 31 today. Always puts me in memory of birth experiences. As I lay in bed this morning, I tried to remember what it had been like having a ponderous belly that made positioning a challenge. I remember waking with a trickle of what may have been amniotic fluid and wondering if today would be the day. I give amazing thanks that we were among the lucky ones who left the hospital with a happy outcome and a beautiful baby to raise. And I continue to give thanks that both our children remain alive, healthy, and I believe reasonably happy with their lives.
