What a lovely sunny day! Originally they had forecast clouds and some showers, so this is a lovely surprise. Maybe the showers forecast for tomorrow afternoon will hold off long enough to get an after-work hike at Rib in. I go on call again Tuesday for a week so tomorrow is the only chance. They're forecasting thunderstorms the rest of the week, so hopefully I won't feel I'm missing much.

Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes! I think Grandma had a nice day, too. We took her to brunch, and we paid for her memory foam mattress topper as well as giving her a potted Gerbera daisy, a folk art wooden chicken door decoration, some pecan rolls and a chocolate bar.

A nice nap is such a pleasant thing on a Sunday afternoon!


Food:

8:00 am Half chocolate chip brioche, 1/2 grapefruit, 100 g blackberries, coffee
11:15 pm "Mimosa" with sparkling grape juice and OJ, 1.5" square of coffee cake
12:15 pm Mimosa, small Caesar salad, 3/4 c cream of broccoli soup, strawberry, 2 small pieces pineapple, 1/2 c glazed carrots, 1/4 c stuffing, 1/4 c rice pilaf, 1.5 oz BBQ ribs, 5 oz roast lamb, .5 tbl mint jelly, 2" square icebox cheesecake w/berry topping
5:00 pm Hot cross bun, 140 g strawberries, 10 oz skim milk
