Sun 13 Sept

Wow, I was tired at the end of the day yesterday, but 8 hours' sleep made me feel okay again. Got through the ballet fine even though I missed last week for the fair. Not exactly feeling enthusiastic about starting choir again tonight, but hopefully it will be fun once I get started. If it really isn't fun any more, I think I'll take a break for a year or two.

Cantaloupe is still really good, even late in the season. Got a passel of peppers when we went to Woodman's, so I want to make some salads, stir fries, and eat them out of hand. I still want to try that tuna salad recipe I sent you with the white beans and red pepper - maybe this week. I'm also anxious to try out my aebleskiver pan.

Michael wasn't scheduled to work at all last week, but this week he's scheduled nearly every day. Hope they get some balance into his schedule after this.

Today was not stellar for eating healthy. Panacea switched from the chicken dinner to a pancake breakfast so it was a carb load. Splurged on a couple of molasses cookies from the bake shop mid-afternoon. Decided to get hamburgers and (blush!) cheese curds for supper so we didn't have to cook before choir after picking up our silent auction purchases. Not looking forward to adding up the calories today.

Grandma will likely go to the nursing home short term tomorrow to get some physical therapy to increase the strength in her legs. Hopefully she'll progress quickly so she can return safely to her apartment.
