Home from the fair, had fun. Michael didn't come since Nick wasn't able to go, so it was just Dad and I. We had the most incredible peaches - it was my favorite treat. They were the size of a softball and perfectly ripe.
Grandma fell in her apartment right after getting home from my birthday dinner. She didn't have her Lifeline bracelet on, so she spent the night on the floor again. Her friend brought her something from breakfast and found her, so I took her to the hospital to be checked out Saturday morning before we left. They did a CT scan on her head and neck because she had hit her head and takes blood thinners, but there was no sign of bleeding. She was pretty sore and felt a little dizzy so they kept her in the hospital. She was okay, but she didn't feel safe going home because she was still a little unsteady on her feet.
The doctor called me today and is recommending that she go to a nursing home short-term to get some therapy to strengthen her legs and improve her balance. She is considering it, so it looks like a go at this point, probably Tues or Wed. She'll stay in the hospital til then. We saw her this evening when we got back and she looks good but still has a lot of stiffness and a sore neck. She's in room 201. If you feel like calling her, I believe the direct number is 715-346-5201. I'll keep you posted.
