I began to feel it was a conspiracy to get me out of bed earlier in the mornings. First I found one article with the 10 best reasons to exercise in the morning, all good common sense. Then I had a long conversation about diet and exercise with the psychiatric nurse when our client didn't show up last night; she argued strongly for AM exercise. Then I came home and there was another article with 5 good reasons to exercise in the morning. To top it off, I woke up spontaneously a half hour before my alarm was scheduled to go off (45 min before I usually get up). I gave in and dragged down to the basement, silently cursing all the way, to do the morning wake-up yoga routine on the DVD that I had never tried. It wasn't very vigorous, but I couldn't deny I do feel more energized and awake at this hour than usual. Don't know if I'll be able to stick with it, but I won't say never.


Food:

7:00 am 1/2 c Trail Mix cereal w/raisins & almonds, 4 oz light vanilla soy milk, 1/4 cantaloupe, cherry juice from concentrate, coffee
11:45 am Peach soy shake, slice whole wheat toast, 1 tsp margarine, 1 tbl cider jelly, 1/2 c raspberries
2:45 pm Act II popcorn ball
4:45 pm 1/2 c Maple & Brown Sugar Mini-Spooners (dry)
6:00 pm 1 serving cheese tortellini, 1/2 c Prego Chunky Garden Mushroom Supreme sauce, 1/2 oz Italian cheese, 1 c broccoli/cauliflower mix, 12 oz light vanilla soy milk


Exercise:

5:00-5:35 AM Morning quickie yoga DVD
3:30-3:50 pm Walk
7:00-7:15 pm Walk
