I dropped off the duathlon registration at Adventure 212 yesterday, so you get a free 2-week trial of their facilities which will give you something to do while you're in Point. I also had a tour and it's really a beautiful facility. They have separate areas for cardio machines and weight machines (though the weight area has a couple of ellipticals, I suppose so you can do circuit work if you choose without moving to another part of the building). They have a dry sauna, hot tub with a view, warm pool for water exercise. There is a nice little bistro serving breakfast and lunch - maybe I'll meet you there one day and we can nosh together. The free pass allows you and a friend, so maybe I'll get to come once or twice and try out a Pilates class or something, too.

No lap pool? Aww.
We're currently staying in a 39euro/night massive budget hotel with 3 twin beds (best arrangement for sleeping we've had yet) in Bordeaux, France. We did a few wine tastings last night (expensive) and watched the Spain-Germany game on a little flatscreen in a random street cafe with a bunch of locals (awesome). And the best part is that for as much wine as we had yesterday - because how can you go to Bordeaux and not go nuts with the vino - I'm not in the least bit hung over. My stomach knows I should feel awful so it's trying to compensate :)
We're headed to Spain later today, and I'm expecting the stress level of communications to decrease substantially. Hope to have wifi access again tonight (we'll be in a Holiday Inn), so I'll touch base if we do. We're planning to chill in Barcelona until the World Cup Final - should be an AMAZING time.
A bientot!
