Time to get back in the flow. Woke up with a bit of a sore back this morning. Wish I had you to do the shoulder massage thing to put it back to rights. Maybe I can corner Michael if he comes in at lunch time. Dad just has never been able to learn how to do it right.
Scale was predictably even worse than before I left. I really need to get this trend into reverse now.
CHANGE OF POTENTIAL VACATION DATES: Can you do the vacation to Virginia either the week of Jul 31-Aug 6 or Aug 14-20? There is a State meeting for potential retirees in Stevens Point on Wed Aug 10 which I feel I need to attend in case I need to mobilize the retirement plan by Oct 1 when our last union contract ends. We could also look at Aug 2-9 or 11-18 if those dates would be more convenient. Let me know.
Believe it or not, I may be applying for a new job. After only 3 years - 10% of the time I spent on the last job. There is an opening for an Information and Assistance Specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center. This position is currently in our union which includes some positions at the ADRC, nursing home, and other county offices. I have always been somewhat interested in this position and thought I might consider it when one became available. I will apply and interview; I won't need to make a decision until/unless I am offered the position. Since our contract is still in operation, I stand a good chance of being the most senior person to apply and I can't see how they could find fault with my qualifications so I expect I have a very good chance of being offered the position. Time will tell.
