Happy Independence Day! Nice to sleep in. I also let myself get away with breakfast and a bit of relaxation before I head downstairs to do my exercises. I also hope to get a hike in later today. Bad me, it's nearly 11 am and I haven't been down to exercise yet. Strongly considering letting the hike be my exercise for the day. It is a holiday, after all!
Thinking about visiting in Madison this weekend. Deb said Art on the Square is this weekend; undecided if I want to brave those crowds even though it's a fun event, but we'd like to see you and do our usual Madison errands. Let me know if you're free.
Healthy lunch feels envigorating!
Great day for a hike! Lots of downed trees again from big winds early Saturday morning ushering out the heat and humidity of Friday. Thawed lamb chops for the grill, but it was a smaller package for a reason - only 2 chops and one quite small. Dad donated a couple bites from the larger chop, and we still had more protein than many folks get for their dinner.
Food:
8:45 am 1 c Trader Joe's multigrain flaxseed cereal, 1/2 c light original soy milk, 1/4 large cantaloupe, 142 g strawberries
12:00 pm 1/2 c 1% cottage cheese, chives, sm peach, salad w/mixed greens, 1/8 c chopped peach, 1/8 c blueberries, 1/8 c toasted pecans
5:00 pm Ocean Spray Cran-Pomegranate drink mix tube
6:00 pm 2.5 oz lamb chop, herbs & garlic w/1/2 tsp olive oil, 1/2 c rosemary garlic baby reds, 1/4 tbl butter, mixed green salad, 1/2 roma tomato, 12 oz skim milk, 1/2 c leftover Mississippi Mud ice cream
