The centipedes in this house are getting WAY too big. I have gotten so much better about just whacking or stamping them and moving on, but the one this morning was humongous! I had difficulty even walking down the stairs as it was on the wall at the bottom. Even without my contacts, it looked to be about 1"x3" with the body being at least 1/2" wide by itself. Initially I couldn't even be sure it was a centipede and not some other large insectile creature, but creeping closer confirmed the identity. It moved slowly to the side wall and sat still, but I choked and missed with the flyswatter so it scooted away. I kept a sharp eye all the while I exercised and still don't feel comfortable going back downstairs. Yuck! Breakfast with my client at Ranchito's again today, and then if work doesn't interfere, a birthday lunch at Ranchito's at 11:45. Supper will be pizza from the Wheel House on our little Waupaca overnight. I shall try to limit to smaller dishes. Work ran a little late so I skipped the birthday lunch (gratefully). After the breakfast meeting, I had to pick up a client who lives a ways out of town, drive her to the Probation and Parole office, and then unexpectedly had to sit in the car with her 5-year-old because she is not allowed to take the child inside and there was no one at home to stay with her. When she finished, I drove her on errands before taking her back home, and at noon when I got home, I realized I had been sitting in the driver's seat of my car since 9:45 am. I'm surprised I could still move! And I was certainly not hungry for another restaurant meal.
