Wed 21 Jul

Looks to be a lovely sunny day today - hoping for a nice hike after work.

Jordan has been doing his hot summer poop-on-the-rug at the foot of the stairs routine again lately. We are trying a plastic vinyl mat covering the area after every pet odor product fails to deter him. When we set it down, he laid on it for awhile. We'll see if it keeps him from pooping there. If not, it will at least be easier to clean up.

I will take your peanut butter advice to heart next time I'm shopping. Actually I just bought the Skippy Natural because they had a really super sale on Skippy but they were all out of the regular creamy so this was the next closest thing. I'll look for the 365 brand locally, maybe at Woodman's.

By the way - if you're getting into the whole natural peanut butter thing, I'd suggest not getting the stuff from Skippy or JIF. Really what you want to do is look at the ingredients list and get jars where the ingredients consist of "peanuts" and, optionally, "salt". I've got a 365 brand jar that I'm using that doesn't even say "natural" on it, but it's just peanuts and salt and it's delicious (and really quite cheap, actually).

I think 365 is a Whole Foods brand, actually.
