Slept in til 8 am today and got busy putting things away, so decided to eat breakfast before I exercise for a change today. I've read differing opinions on whether it's wise to exercise first thing in the morning without first breaking your fast in some way. It's never been a problem for me since I hit the exercises straight out of bed. I'm sometimes a little hungry toward the end, but I've never felt my energy levels were so much a function of food since they seem to vary somewhat naturally.
I had thought of driving down to Madison today to deliver your cookies, but we're going out to eat this evening with Grandma and Michael for my birthday and it would make the day quite rushed. We put your Sweet Martha's in the freezer so they will stay somewhat fresh when we are able to get them to you. Looks like the best time for us to visit Madison will be next Saturday, Sept 11. We will be doing the Walk for Hope in the morning, but we're usually done before noon. We can catch a little of Panacea on Sunday if desired.
I liked doing the workout at 10 am with breakfast in my belly. I had a lot of energy to work out, but it's hard to say if that is due to fueling up with breakfast or just having a much more reasonable start time to the day. Unfortunately, exercising at 10 am isn't a reasonable alternative on weekdays until I get to retire.
Wish you could come out to dinner with us tonight. Grandma and Michael will both be with us. We'll miss you.
