Sad day today - last day of union contract for PCHHS employees. It will be extremely difficult to overcome the legal obstacles to ever get back to where we were. Oh, and the county decided to drop our compensation for carrying the stupid pager to $1.50/hr - less than minimum wage in the dark ages when I had my first job. That means than on Thanksgiving and the day after, instead of being compensated 4 hrs pay for being available to the county all day, I will get a whopping $12! About 1/8 of what I signed up for. I will not be signing up for any holidays in the future if I can avoid it.

11:45 am Blueberry soy shake, slice Sara Lee 100% whole wheat toast, 1 tbl peanut butter, peach
1:45 pm Large molasses cookie
4:00 pm 16 oz Sprecher's Oktoberfest beer
