Had an icky bug encounter in the middle of the night. Had thrown off the sheet because it was warm and three times had a bug land on some part of me and get brushed off with an automatic response. The bug was big enough that I could feel substance to it, not just a mosquito or small moth. Finally I got up and turned on the bathroom light and came back to find it crawling on my sheet. I squished it in toilet paper, then examined it, and it appeared to be some kind of boxelder bug, black and orange with crawly legs. Took me a while to relax enough to get back to sleep. Decided to forego getting up to exercise in the basement this morning (and risk centipede encounters), especially since I can be done with work by 3:15-3:30 today so we can go hike Rib while there should still be enough daylight to do the trail both ways.
Tomorrow we will likely drive down to Baraboo again for a little bit because they are having a fall version of their Faire on the Square. This is similar to the art fair around the capitol but a little less crowded. We usually go in May, but they crossed me up by having it a weekend earlier than I had expected so we missed it this year. We will get home early because we are doing Moon Walk Wisconsin. This year they are offering a 12-mile option starting at 6:00. We may try to be there by 5:30 to get an early start.
