Tues 25 Oct

It was not nice to come into a kitchen reeking of Brussels sprouts this morning. Once was enough. I am not a fan.

Got my version of an Irish lamb stew in the oven, already starting to smell good. In addition to potaotes, carrots, and onion, I added parsnip, turnip, and leek along with some dried herbs from my homegrown stash, Penzey's lamb seasoning, sea salt and fresh ground pepper. I threw in canned diced tomatoes and beef broth and will wait for the verdict.

The verdict on the lamb stew: AMAZING!!! I am also amazed that for seasoning by shake and by guess, it was perfect with no adjustments needed. I will need to make this again.



Food:

7:00 am 1 c Trader Joe's multigrain flaxseed cereal, 1/2 c light original soy milk, 1/4 large cantaloupe, 73 g raspberries, coffee
10:00 pm 1 chocolate pizzelle
12:15 pm Strawberry/banana soy shake, hard-boiled egg, slice wheat sourdough toast, 1 tbl peanut butter, small pear
12:45 pm Anise biscotti
2:45 pm 1 Kopiko cappuccino hard candy
6:15 pm Lamb stew, 12 oz skim milk
