Sat 6 Jul

Felt like Sunday this morning when I woke up, so close on the heels of the 4th of July holiday day. Feels somewhat decadent to know I have two whole days off before returning to work. No real plans this weekend other than the usual laundry, visit Grandma. I do have to do Eucharist coordination at church tomorrow, but that doesn't really entail extra time. Took most of the morning to put together the complete itinerary for our August trip, including all reservations for lodging, meals, and other activities, driving directions, and notes on what has been prepaid. Job well done. Hanging clothes on the line for the first time this season. Weather and schedule conflicts have been prohibitive before today. Feels good and green. I am extremely proud of myself. After our long walk in the Mead Wildlife Preserve, I was very hungry and wanted Rocky's Pizza but we have promised to try to go restaurant-free for a week. I had planned to grill Costco frozen salmon burgers at home, and put together a fresh salad from our green and growing things, and I managed to hold out for the healthy.
