Seems strange to have a couple of weeks before St Maarten with nothing special on the schedule at all. I suppose I could count the chili supper at church tonight, but that is more just something we will participate in if nothing better comes along. The Home Show is happening today at SentryWorld; it normally doesn't really interest me, but if Dad wants to go, it would be something to do. I can always fall back on some of my "projects" like scanning photos or going through my armoire to sort out clothes I don't use. That actually sounds promising. Apparently I only vaguely remember how to knit/purl. I began the "simple" hat pattern that Laura recommended, but it is not appearing to develop as it is supposed to. Took a walk with Dad through melty puddles to test the waterproofing of our boots. Mine passed the test pretty well with one little incursion of dampness, but Dad's right boot leaked pretty thoroughly. He will need new boots or some method of finding/repairing the leak.
