My finger doesn't hurt at all any more, though it still looks gross. I can type normally - yay! I need to finish the antibiotics and continue soaking it in warm water several times a day, but it's nice to be pain-free.
Hope your hip injury isn't severe. Dad said you were doing breast stroke. I suppose flexing the extreme range of motion along with using some power strains the muscle.
Just make sure you listen to your body and don't push anything too far. Don't want to take even longer to heal.
I read Elie Wiezel's "Night" this evening. I felt guilty for being warm and comfortable, enjoying a snack because I was still hungry, while reading of such intense human suffering.

The more I walk on it the better it is. I'm sure I'll be fine by lessons tonight; I'll just keep the breast stroke to a minimum. We're still doing butterfly, anyway, so the rotator won't get too much work.
